Even though only a statistical trend towards significance was observed, we included the summarized anticoagulant activity phenotype (anticoagulant activity sum ) in two logistic regression models to assess its influence together with the clinical factors, to control for the effects of age and sex, and for the clinical multi-morbidity presented by the number of comorbidities and the number of drugs taken.
