Given our findings with Ki67, we also examined sex differences at the 2- and 24-h time points and saw males had more BrdU-ir cells in the dorsal region only at 2 h (a priori: p = 0.009, Cohen’s d = 2.64) which failed to reach significance at 24 h ( p = 0.15) compared with females.
