Similar to the effects in SHSY5Y cells [ 35 ] and mDA neurons [ 34 ], the transfection of individual sympathetic neurons with caBMPR1B led to highly significant increase in neurite length, branching and overall neurite arbour size and complexity, effects that were completely prevented by the Smad decoy but not by the control decoy.
