We found significant correlations between GABA+ concentration in M1 and the score of the Strength and agility subcategory in both of all participants and the ASD group in the permutation test ( r s = [− 0.39, − 0.54], p s = [0.006, 0.004], 95% CIs = {[− 0.62, − 0.09], [− 0.79, − 0.14]}), despite a marginally significant correlation in the parametric correlation analysis (all participants: p = 0.014; ASD group: p = 0.015).
