Compared to previously published data in Rosaceae, the cp genome of Rosa ‘Margo Koster’ has a typical quadripartite structure, where the LSC and SSC regions are separated by two IRs and show a relative similarity in cp genome size, gene number and structure, as well as total GC content, which is an extremely significant indicator of species affinity 40 .
