Females as compared to males (OR, CI: 1.19, 0.99–1.43), hypertension as compared to non-hypertensive cases (OR, CI: 1.20, 0.99–1.45), and those who consume alcohol as compared to those who do not consume alcohol (OR, CI: 1.18, 0.98–1.42) had higher risk of retinal diseases, but each OR was of borderline significance.
