In regard to amino acid biosynthesis, an interesting trend was observed, wherein a set of enzymes ( Q65XK0 , Q7XS58 , P14654 , Q5JNB0 , Q6AV34 , Q7F2F8 ) was expressed at lower levels in Qingliu than in TN1 at 0, 6 and/or 24 h of insect herbivory (Supplementary Table S4b ).
