The blood glucose level estimation on the third day after streptozotocin (STZ) administration for the confirmation of induction of diabetes in the experimental animal groups revealed a highly significant (p<0.0001) increase in the blood glucose level (21.26 to 22.81 mmol/L) of all experimental groups except nondiabetic control ((6.53±0.2) mmol/L) and vehicle control ((6.66±0.15) mmol/L) groups.
