Background Lung cancer is the most common malignant tumor in the world 1 , 2 ,with an increasing trend year by year. 3 Small cell lung carcinoma (SCLC) and non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) account for 75% to 85% of the total number of patients with NSCLC, and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) is one of the major types of NSCLC. 4 At present, most of the patients with NSCLC are advanced at the time of their first diagnosis, and the treatment and prognosis are very poor.
