Laboratory Evaluation In the current study, upon comparing the sepsis and disease control groups as regards the laboratory data ( Table 1 ), highly significant differences in hs-CRP levels, I / T ratio, and nCD64 (both CD64% and CD64 MFI) were documented between both sepsis and controls being higher among sepsis patients while significant difference was documented by the platelet count between the groups being lower among sepsis neonates.
