Over time, compared with those with continuous labour market attachment, men with an early exit from the labour market at age 60 had a lower starting point but a slower decline in QoL and somatic health (marginally significant at 10%), while men who exited early at 60 but were late starters reported a slighter higher QoL and a significantly slower rate of decline.
