Stressors common in young adulthood Five stressors related to the transition into adulthood were assessed as part of the study design: money, work, family, relationships, and job stability. Participants were asked to rate the extent to which each stressor was a significant source of stress on a 4-point Likert scale (very significant, somewhat significant, not very significant, not at all significant).
