Similar independence of the total protein and globulin fractions has been observed in pea, 30 while, in contrast, a highly significant negative correlation between the content of certain 7S fractions and the total seed protein content has been reported in soybeans. 35 In conclusion, this study provides a contemporary survey of the major seed proteins and their subunit composition among genetically diverse Vf germplasm.
