5 WOSCOPS 6 included a high-risk population enrolling only men with average LDL-C 192 mg/dl, patients with angina, previous strokes and claudication (previous myocardial infarction (MI) was an exclusion criteria), and reported significant reduction in CV death ( p = 0.033), however total mortality reduction was borderline significant (22% reduction, p = 0.051).
