Although none of the individual studies reported statistically significant differences in serious toxicities between patients with UC and central tumors ( 9 , 12 , 13 , 15 , 41 ), considering the small patient number of individual studies and borderline significance found in our subgroup comparisons, we support the notion that applying SBRT for UC tumors carries a greater risk of fatal toxicities than does applying it for central tumors.
