The difference remains highly significant when we controlled for possible differences in terminator quality by performing the analysis on terminators with good U-tracts (free energy of RNA/DNA U-tract duplex ΔG U larger than −5 kcal/mol): F 30 = 4.0, and p < 5×10 -4 .
