Our gene expression findings support this proposed positive feedback mechanism: histopathology reports from kidneys assayed with RNAseq indicated no tissue‐level pathology (Table S4 ), while on the molecular level we found highly significant increased expression of genes involved in immune response, wound healing, and hypoxia.
