In a meta‐analysis of six studies of CRT, the 95% CIs for the improvement in peak VO 2 with CRT went from 0.32 to 3.22 mL/kg/min, with borderline significance, P = 0.017, 35 compared with the narrower CI, and more highly significant effect seen here: 95% CIs for the improvement in peak VO 2 with CCM between 0.56 and 1.30 mL/kg/min, P < 0.00001, giving a considerably more precise estimate of efficacy and of increased statistical significance.
