However, the difference might merely come from low statistical power of the analysis, as the subjects were stratified based on nutrient intake, thus, the number of subjects in each group became small, and the risk of the GG genotype for decreased insulin secretion in the high fat and vegetable fat consumption groups were, though not significant, positive [OR 3.16 (0.82–12.3) and 2.70 (0.69–10.5), respectively] with marginal significance.
