Our study confirms that timing of arrival matters for the interaction outcome between attackers: mildew and aphid performances were only significantly affected when arriving simultaneously, while caterpillar performance was only impacted when leaves were previously attacked by mildew or aphids (the effect of aphids being marginally significant).
