The majority of these studies did not find a beneficial effect of B-vitamin supplementation on CV outcome [ 48 , 49 ], also not in women [ 50 ], albeit some have shown a moderate reduction in stroke risk that was borderline significant at a meta-level [ 48 , 49 ].
