Therefore, we examined the mRNA expression levels of proinflammatory and anti-inflammatory cytokines (TNF-α, IL-6, IL-1β, and IL-10) in the liver tissues and showed that with the increased dose of dietary Cd exposure, the mRNA expression levels of TNF-α and IL-6 presented an increasing trend and were significantly increased in the relative high Cd addition groups (30.55 or 60.67 mg Cd/kg), which is consistent with the results of pathological observation.
