During this period, the Mexican population went through age composition and anthropometric changes with an overall trend towards an older population (see Supplemental Figure 2 ) 19 and the mean crude BMI increasing from 30.2 in 2006 to 31.0 in 2022 and from 29.9 to 30.9 among young adults (≤35 years old) (see Supplemental Figure 3 ) 19 .
