Chronic constipation showed highly significant association with OR = 3.78; the possible explanation is retention of carcinogenic and aromatic amines inside colon and this is in agreement with Watanabe, T. et al ., 2004[ 30 ] who reported that constipation or laxative use increases the risk of colon cancer.
