Mixed multilevel multivariate logistic regression showed that relative to non-use, covert use was associated with higher odds of having at least 2 births [AOR (95%CI): 1.78 (1.11–2.86), 2.56 (1.43–4.57) for women with 2–4 and ≥4 births respectively]; and being Catholic versus Protestant [1.55 (0.99–2.42)], though the latter was only of borderline significance.
