Moreover, and contrary to the latter two observations, a study on young Greek MI patients documented a protective effect of this polymorphism [ 41 ], which is consistent to some extent with our own observations, where both AA and AG genotypes conferred apparently protective effects by multivariate analysis, though this just failed to reach significance (Table 3 ).
