Regarding the type of the studies, out of the 47 analyzed articles, 46 were quantitative studies (with cross-sectional and correlational design), while only one study was qualitative.[ 37 ] The first article about the problematic use of mobile phone was published in 2010, and since 2012, there has been an increasing trend in the number of articles published in this field reaching to its highest point of 17 articles released in 2016 [ Figure 2 ].
