13 – 15 A positive trend of scientific publications in all Caribbean countries has been observed in the last few decades. 16 The inclusion of regional journals in Thomson Reuter’s and Elsevier’s main indexing services, and Web of Science and Scopus databases has increased with time. 10 These databases index the best professional journals and publications, thus playing an important role in the dissemination of reliable, high-quality information to the scientific community.
