We found that intraperitoneal (IP) administration of hPMSCs at the beginning of reperfusion (end of 1-hour ischemia) produced remarkable and highly significant preservation of ipsilateral hemispheric blood flow, tissue structure and neurological recovery following MCAO compared to untreated group.
