The results of subgroup analysis When stratified by study design subtypes, a statistically significant effect of DM on OC risk was observed in cohort studies (RR, 1.22; 95% CI=1.11 to 1.33), however, the case–control studies found no relationship between DM and the incidence of OC in spite of a positive trend (RR, 1.08; 95% CI=0.77 to 1.53).
