The pseudohypoxia subgroup includes mutations in a highly significant number of genes, including succinate subunits A, B, C, D, fumarate hydratase, and von Hippel-Lindau tumour suppressor gene, encoding for proteins involved in the cell response induced by conditions of hypoxia.
