Thirty-three adhering patients showed a highly significant survival advantage over 128 matched patients who received BSC but would have been eligible for treatment with azacitidine as well (median OS 46 months (95%CI: 31.3; 60.7) versus 9 months (95%CI: 7.2; 10.8)) ( p < 0.005, Fig. 5 ).
