The coarse and fibrous roots showed average Fe concentrations of 188.2 ± 26.5 and 2428.7 ± 276.5 mg Fe 1000 g −1 DW, respectively, which were much higher than the aerial part, especially in the latter case, and displayed an increasing trend from flowering to the end of fruit set (July) and then decreased until the end of the cycle.
