The move from “treating” to “guiding” is especially challenging in the integrative oncology setting, with manual modalities such as acupuncture and acupressure administered by skilled practitioners, though there is an increasing trend among integrative nurses to teach the self-administration of these modalities [ 10 , 11 ].
