highly significantp = 0.0001
This was confirmed via a 2-way permutational multivariate analysis of variance (PERMANOVA) analysis which identified a highly significant effect on diversity between adult, tadpole and water samples (F = 10.71; df = 2; p = 0.0001), a significant effect due to the housing conditions (F = 2.84; df = 1; p = 0.0056), but also a significant interaction effect due to the fact that diversity in tadpoles differs significantly between clean and standard conditions whilst it remains consistent in adults (F = 2.69; df = 2; p = 0.0011).
