When controlling for the modifying variables which were statistically significant at the 5% level in the univariable model (age, knowledge, perceived barriers and self-efficacy scores), the multivariable logistic regression showed that independent factors associated with Pap smear uptake were age, perceived severity score and perceived barriers score, while knowledge score was marginally significant.
