It can be observed that for PLSR both Se and Sp tend to increase with the number of spectra, while for PCR, an increasing trend is observed only for Se, whereas an opposite behavior is observed for Sp, suggesting that with larger training sets, PCR tends to build predictive models that erroneously classify negative entries.
