The number of men who had never been drunk was 15.0% in 1999 and 15.5% in 2009 There was a slight trend towards heavier alcohol use, as the percentage of men who reported being drunk at least once a week increased from 10.3 to 13.4% over the study period (OR 1.3, 95% CI 1.0–1.5).
