Studies in which more than 50% of participants were in contact with patients with COVID-19 demonstrated a higher prevalence of anxiety (25.7%; 95% CI, 17.4%-34.9%), compared to studies in which 50% or fewer participants were in contact (17.4%; 14.5%-20.4%), although evidence of this difference was of borderline significance ( p = 0.06).
