Our present study only described a positive trend of increasing comorbidity prevalence that correlated with increasing cumulative dose of corticosteroids and other immunosuppressants, further research is needed to evaluate the specific associations between cumulative exposure to corticosteroids and the incidence of diabetes, hypertension, and osteoporosis.
