An analysis of the spatial patterns of the simulated yields showed a decreasing trend of the simulated yield from west (3.0 to 6.0 t ha −1 ) to east (0.3 to 3.0 t ha −1 ), particularly when the RS-based sowing date estimations were employed across the maize-growing areas (Fig. 6 ).
