Interestingly, we found that hypertensive females tended to have higher HT% ( p MWU = 0.053, p A = 0.130) and lower AT% ( p MWU = 0.067, p A = 0.003) than normotensive females and that their obstructive apneas ( p MWU = 0.076, p A = 0.095), central apneas ( p MWU = 0.512, p A = 0.040), mixed apneas ( p MWU = 0.072, p A = 0.049), and hypopneas ( p MWU = 0.069, p A = 0.213) showed a slight trend towards a shorter event duration.
