For the other skin color parameters, a∗ and b∗ (results not presented), r G values between adjacent ages were very high (mostly >0.9), although as age differences increased, the coefficients of r G were slightly lower (0.6–0.9); yet all were highly significant, indicating that the ranking of the chickens by these color parameters remained similar over the range of age, from 56 to 250 d.
