Inhibition of DMH Ppp1r17 neurons during scheduled feeding by CNO led to a rapid and highly significant increase of between 16 and 44% of daily food intake relative to the vehicle control between day 3 and day 9 during the 3-h feeding window ( P < 0.0001; Fig. 5 A ), while activation of DMH Ppp1r17 neurons by CNO led to a significant decrease of between 19 and 33% daily food intake between day 1 and day 12 ( P < 0.0001; Fig. 5 A ).
