The underwhelming results of these current treatment options, as well as the ability of DTF to spontaneously regress have led to an increasing trend towards conservative management (i.e. regular 3, 6, 12 months regular interval clinical and instrumented assessment) [ 10 , 29 ] and in 2018 the Desmoid Tumor Working group agreed that such an “active surveillance” should be the first line of management for desmoid tumors [ 37 ].
