Specifically, we hypothesize that in rat motor cortex layers 2/3, Nogo-A underwent a highly significant downregulation during the first week of running wheel exercise when synaptic plasticity-inhibiting properties of Nogo-A would counteract structural re-arrangements needed to establish new synaptic connections.
