Recently, it was reported that the prevalence rates of dyskinesia and gait instability show an increasing trend in PD patients with moderate and severe depression, and depression and motor symptoms/quality of life are highly intertwined in PD patients. 40 Intriguingly, UPDRS-I and UPDRS-III scores as well as H-Y stages were significantly higher in PD patients with moderate and severe depression than in the mild depression group.
