While pre-operative serum complement C3 levels and undifferentiated carcinoma were not independent predictors for VI (both of them have a marginally significant P -value), these 2 parameters were still included in the predictive model due to the scope of the present study, which was to develop a nomogram for pre-operative prediction of VI, rather than analyzing risk factors of VI.
