Moreover, the difference in the proportion of subjects with elevated fasting glucose was also highly significant, and fasting glucose was also significantly associated with MAFLD in the logistic regression with an OR value of 1.403, which is consistent with a previous study that showed a correlation between fatty liver and dyslipidaemia and dysglycaemia [ 21 ], indicating that elevated fasting glucose may also be an important risk factor for MAFLD.
