Paish et al., recently reported chronic inflammation characterised by highly significant increases in IL-8, CCL2, CCL3 and CCL4 in the synovial fluid of a cohort of patients undergoing revision surgery following failed primary total knee replacement (TKR) 30 therefore confirming the role of these pro-inflammatory chemokines in patient response.
